“Justice for the Poor” Lenten series

An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Tuesday, repeating until April 11, 2017

This Lenten discussion series begins Tuesday, March 7 at 6 p.m. and is offered by the new social justice ministry, Seek and Serve. It will include a light supper, followed by a short video and then discussion. A reading/discussion guide will be provided free to all participants. People of all viewpoints are encouraged to attend.

This series was created by Jim Wallis and Sojourners and teaches how to connect biblical faith with contemporary responses to poverty, both in your neighborhood and around the world.

According to Wallis, “When the wealthy are dying from diseases of overabundance and the poor are dying from inadequate health care, poor diets, and stress-related illnesses, there is spiritual disease in society.”
