There will be one service at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate Pentecost, generally viewed as the birthday of the Christian church. We will enjoy our Gospel Mass. After the service, we will have our annual picnic with music by Reunion. There will be games for the kids. Pulled pork will be provided as the main dish. Matsiko World Orphan Choir

The Matsiko World Orphan Choir will be performing at Christ Church on Sunday, August 14. They will sing at the 10 a.m. service and then perfrom a concert at 2 p.m. There will be no charge but a free will offering will be taken. Merchandise such as CDs, T-shirts and crafts from the children's villages will be available at the concert. All donations are tax deductible, and all funds raise support the choir children, their families, the tour and countless vulnerable children from their home countries.    

Dover Days – Junk from your Trunk Yard Sale

Annual outdoor flea market on the State Street side of the property.  Vendor space is available.  Contact the church office for more information. The Parish Life Group Outdoor Cafe will be grilling and selling hot dogs, soft pretzels, sodas and water, and our Youth Group will hold a bake sale.  Activities are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. along the green/open space bordered by South State Street.

Book study: America’s Original Sin

As one of the most diverse congregations in the Dover area, Christ Church is in a unique position to embrace and speak to issues of race and justice. After completing the book "Just Mercy" by Milton native Bryan Stevenson, we decided to continue the discussion with Jim Wallis' new book, "America's Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege and the Bridge to a New America." The group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall for four Mondays in May: May 3, 10, 17 and 24. The discussion will be led by the Rev. Mark Sullivan. Book Study: Just Mercy

Jean Smith will be leading a discussion of "Just Mercy," by Milton, Delaware native Bryan Stevenson.  We hope to have a holy conversation about race, justice and redemption. The book study will begin at 6 p.m. for four Tuesdays in Lent - February 16, February 23, March 1 ad March 8. Beverages and light snacks will be offered. The book is available on Amazon for $10.18. A special service beginning at 10 a.m. with Christmas carols and special Christmas music, as well as a Eucharist.

Our beautiful service begins at 10:30 p.m. with carols and special music and musicians, leading into the candlelight Eucharist.

Christmas Eve – Family Service

Our family-oriented service begins at 4 p.m. and includes selections from the Children's Choir, as well as a children's sermon.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School for Grades K-6 will be four evenings in June, from the 22nd to the 25th.  From 5 to 8, we will be joining in songs, crafts and lessons that help raise a child of faith. The theme will be "SonSpark Labs:" With age-appropriate Bible stories, experiments, games, crafts, snacks and songs, each session of SonSpark Labs VBS involves kids in exploring an amazing aspect of God’s life-changing plan. By providing opportunities for interactive learning at VBS, we can share with the children in our communities the good news about Jesus and God’s remarkable plan of salvation.
