Young people

Christ Church offers many opportunities for families to nurture children of faith. Most importantly, children are invited to regular worship together with the rest of their family members.

Father Chuck offers a children’s sermon.

Our acolyte program is very popular among youth from 9 up as they have an opportunity to participate directly in the worship service by carrying the cross, Gospel and icons, lighting candles, and assisting with the Eucharist. Sunday school begins in mid-September and runs through Pentecost.  It begins promptly at 9 a.m.

Godly Play is an international curriculum developed by Episcopal priest Jerome Berryman that introduces children ages through through fifth grade to biblical storytelling and church sacraments.

For older children (6th through 12th grade), Christ Church Youth Group offers monthly ministry and fellowship opportunities.  Contact Mary Randall for more information.

For infants and toddlers, child care is provided by trained caregivers in our nursery every Sunday for both our 8 and 10 a.m. services.  Two persons are in the nursery at all times; parents are provided with a pager in case they are needed during the service.
